As imaging technology advances, modality devices are reproducing such high resolution that even current 5MP displays are unable to reproduce, creating a bottleneck in softcopy diagnostic environment. JVC introduces "MS 55i2" equipped with ISD (Independent Sub-pixels Drive) technology* to accept higher resolution output from modality devices as a major breakthrough.

ISD (Independent Sub-pixel Drive) technology allows the sub-pixels of greyscale displays to be controlled independently of each other. This is a revolution for diagnostic monitors as it allows the resolution of a display to be tripled. For example, ISD turns a 2 MP display into a 6 MP display. ISD provides substantial cost savings while improving quality.

The built-in LUT selects the most appropriate 256 shades of gray (8bit) out of 1021 shades (10bit) to realize finer and smoother grayscale.

Uniformity Equalizer


The uniformity equalizer ensures excellent brightness distribution over the entire display surface and even eliminates minimal fluctuations in luminance. In the case of colour monitors, the uniformity equalizer also provides an even distribution of colours over the entire screen



With the JVC Software solutions and remote management you become the QA expert. The Medivisor suite makes calibration and testing as simple as possible. With PM Medivisor you enleash the full remote functionality.
All remote features are so advanced that you don't even get noticed. The integrated front sensor checks constantly the image quality. This data is send to the server and avaiable by a webinterface you can access from any workstation.


DICOM preset - for improved perception

The display come with a correction curve, which is stored as DICOM preset and can be activated via the menu. The image quality is thereby noticeably improved.

LED Backlight

LED Backlight

The latest generation of JVC monitors is equipped with an LED backlight. The LED backlight ensures a better and more consistent illumination of the entire display in the CCL 258i2, CCL 358i2, CCL 650i2 and MS55i2 models. The power consumption of these monitors is also reduced by around 20% compared to models with conventional lighting.

Tricolor LED indicator

A glance at the LED indicator tells you the display's current operating status in three distinct colors. When in normal mode (luminance is stabilized), the LED is not lighted to minimize negatively impacting the diagnostic interpretation.

Hardware Pivot Funktion

The pivot function of a monitor allows you to rotate the screen by 90° in order to switch from portrait mode to landscape format. This rotation requires that the respective screen format on the computer is converted (for example, from 1920 x 1200 to 1200 x 1920). Many monitors offer a software solution for this. However, the solution usually requires a lot of computing power and slows down the display of images. In the hardware pivot function featured in Totoku monitors, the display of images is equally fast in both modes and responds to changes of mode at lightning speed.
