The TOTOKU ME551i2 is a brand new 5 megapixel grayscale LCD display designed for the most discerning radiologist. It already meets the PAS 1054 guidelines and provides a real 11.9-bit LUT.
One of the largest displays in its class, at 21.3", with high brightness and contrast ratios, and 11.9-bit grayscale display capability, this is an ideal display in MRI, DR, CR or mammography modalities.
The ME 551i2 is fully DICOM calibrated, comes with a factory unifomity correction, and has super-wide viewing angles, advantageous for primary or consultative applications with multiple viewers.

According to PAS 1054
To meet the guidelines of PAS 1054 it must be ensured, that both displays of a dual screen solution have a maximum uniformity deviation of 10%.
TOTOKU met the challenge, brings the new model ME551i2 and verifies that it is possible to set up a monitor which meets these guidelines in serial production.
Luminance stabilizing system provides continuously stable displays for medical images
A change in luminance affects gamma characteristics and therefore has adverse effects on diagnostic imaging. TOTOKU's medical image displays are equipped with a luminance stabilizing system that automatically compensates for luminance changes due to startup drift, temperature change, and aging.
Calibration function to accurately adjust gamma, color temperature, and luminance
The calibration function creates the optimum conditions for a medical imaging display by adjusting luminance levels, color temperature, and grayscale characteristics to achieve DICOM GSDF compliant grayscale output.

Luminance warranty - further information
For all i2 models (from 01. November 2007) TOTOKU warrants the listed reference luminance in a warranty period of 5 years by a maximum of the listed operating hours.
- 30.000 operating hours equal a daily usage of 16 hours on 365 days per year
- 42.000 operating hours equal a daily usage of 23 hours on 365 days per year.
In spite of the high lifetime we recommend to switch off the display for longer breaks. So your can achieve an expanding lifetime for your monitors.
